Let’s play “Remember When?”

Remember when MTV and VH-1 played actual music?

I know that this is a worn out trope and that there are any number of folks who have written (and even created videos) responding to it, but in this case it’s more of an entrée on to the topic of what has been playing on my second monitor all week.

I discovered a playlist on YouTube that lines up nearly 200 Alt music videos from the final years of music television (the 1990s). Having these play have been great because even when I haven’t been able to have the video be active, the music itself has been great. It’s like listening to what is now considered “oldies.”

Otherwise known as the soundtrack of my misspent youth.
